Our practice will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as comfortable, convenient, and rewarding as possible. We'll use the latest technology, offering a variety of safe and gentle treatment options, giving you the customized, individual care that you deserve.

Every smile starts with a consultation!

Your consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, as well as learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. Your initial consultation we will:

Give you an office tour and a chance to meet the doctor and staff
Take photographs and review your dental records and referral information
Make a preliminary facial and oral examination
Offer a tentative treatment plan and explain all the fees for treatment

What happens after the initial consultation?

If you do choose to receive orthodontic treatment, you will need to create your orthodontic records: This includes photos, x-rays, and measurements as well as impressions.

Records can be taken at your very first visit, or you may want to schedule a second visit for it to be done.

Dr. Thomas-Blair can often place your new orthodontic appliances the same day that records are taken. Typically, this appointment is no longer than one hour, and then you're on your way toward your new smile!

Scheduling Appointments

Visiting the orthodontist every four to eight weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Regular checkups last between 20-40 minutes. Our practice will work with you to make sure that your appointments are scheduled around your busy schedule so that you will spend less time in the dental chair and more time enjoying the things you love to do.

Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment

It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.

Cost

The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient's problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We have payment plans to suit different budgets. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable.

Fees

In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:

If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount.
To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months.
For your convenience, we accept payment by debit cards, Visa and Mastercard, as well as offer vouchers for you to use at the bank. Online payments can also be made.

Insurance

If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
